Dear members of the Public Union Ukrainian Publishers & Booksellers Association!

We inform you that on March 12, 2024, a meeting of the Board of the Association was held, at which the statement of Oleksandr Afonin about his resignation from the position of president of the Ukrainian Publishers & Booksellers Association was considered.

As a result of the discussion of this issue, the following decisions were made:

1.1. To satisfy the application of O. Afonin and accept his resignation from the position he held from March 16, 2024.

1.2. To express deep gratitude to O. Afonin for the enormous work in the protection, support and development of Ukrainian book publishing, carried out by him during the 28 years of fulfilling the duties of the president of the Association.

1.3. To appeal to the members of the Board of the Association with a proposal to establish the title of Honorary President of the Public Union Ukrainian Publishers & Booksellers Association and award it to Oleksandr Afonin.

2.1. For a transitional period of 3 (three) months, until the general meeting of members of the Association and the election of a new president and a new member of the Board, appoint:
— Oleksandr Krasovytskyi, acting president of the Association, member of the Board, director of the "Folio" publishing house;
— the executive director of the Association, State Board member, the co-founder of the "Samit-knyga" publishing house Ihor Stepurin.
The members of the Board voted unanimously for these decisions.
