regarding the provision of financial assistance to full-time employees of publishing houses and bookstores who suffered the greatest material and physical losses as a result of hostilities

On December 24, 2022, $10,000 was received from caring citizens of the United States to the accounts of the "Toloka" Charitable Fund, with which the Public Union UPBA concluded a partnership agreement.

These funds, at the suggestion of donors, were to be distributed among full-time employees of publishing houses and bookstores that suffered the greatest material and physical losses as a result of hostilities.

According to the decision of the Supervisory Board, the amount of assistance per person was 6 thousand hryvnias.

On December 29, 2022, the Association's website posted information about the collection of applications for receiving this assistance in accordance with the criteria that were written out in the notification. The first deadline for submitting applications was January 15, 2023, then this deadline was extended, first to January 30, and then to February 5, 2023. In addition to the Association's website, information about the possibility of submitting applications was posted on social networks, as well as on the Telegram channel of the Ukrainian Book Institute for book publishing entities. As of 05.02.2023, 61 applications were received by e-mail of the UPBA.

At the meeting of the Supervisory Board on the distribution of funds, which took place on February 15, 2023, all received applications were considered. Of these, 7 people were rejected as not meeting the defined criteria for receiving assistance.

In accordance with the decision of the Supervisory Board, the "Toloka" Charitable Foundation carried out an operation to transfer funds to the applicants on February 20, 2023.
