The Ukrainian Book Institute invites you to take part in the second National Reading Week, which will be held from December 12 to 19.

Despite the challenges of the wartime, we are sure that the Ukrainian book, which today is of increasing interest to the Ukrainian reader, deserves even greater attention and familiarity with it. In particular, we would like to draw attention to Ukrainian books available on the Ukrainian book market, popularize reading as a life practice among Ukrainians, and promote the development of popular literature in the Ukrainian language.

During the National Reading Week, the Ukrainian Book Institute will organize interviews with Ukrainian authors on television, as well as conduct an information campaign, within which it will publish ratings of the most popular books in Ukrainian libraries.

Publishers are also invited to join the campaign — UIC offers three approximate formats (to choose from) for participation:
— to create a selection of five bestsellers of the publishing house in 2022 and distribute it on your pages in social networks under the hashtag #КнигаНаВийный and the common hashtag #тыжденьчитання for NTCH-2022
— to create a selection of books that are particularly important for Ukrainian society, published this year, under the hashtag #КныганаВийный and the common hashtag for NTCH-2022 #readingweek (even if there is only one book, but it is important for Ukraine, this is a great reason to talk about it)
— to prepare an interview (or a series of interviews) with the authors of your publishing house about literature during the war

It is up to you to publish books in one post or by book on different days during the reading week.
